Sport performance training
Strength and conditioning for young athletes in Charlottetown, from a first structured program in junior high to off-season hockey performance.
After School Athlete Program
The After School Athlete Program is K2's main program for school-age athletes, and it runs through the school year. Sessions are 60 minutes, coached by Kyle, and built on the same fundamentals as every K2 program, with strength, conditioning and movement skills taught in a structured, supportive setting.
Session times shift with the season, so get in touch for the current schedule.
Junior High Athlete Program
The Junior High Athlete Program gives young athletes a competitive advantage through foundational strength and conditioning. Each 60-minute session teaches essential athletic skills in a safe, supportive environment.
The program takes the core elements of K2's training methods and adapts them for younger athletes. Your child will develop athletic skills, build confidence and enjoy a structured approach to physical fitness.
High School Athlete Program
The High School Athlete Program is tailored for athletes aged 15 to 18 and designed to improve performance across any sport or activity. The 60-minute sessions make your athlete stronger, faster and more powerful, giving them a competitive edge.
Off-season hockey, tier by tier
K2's off-season hockey program runs through the summer, June to August, and is split into three tiers by age. Athletes move up as they grow, so the training always matches the stage they are at.
Mount Academy hockey
Kyle is the strength and conditioning coach for Mount Academy hockey, now in his third year with the prep school in Rustico. He works with the U17 and U18 groups in Mount Academy's own gym and presents the K2 Athletics Awards at the school's athletic awards night.
Where K2 athletes have gone
Recent K2 athletes have earned college commitments, brought home a Nationals bronze and headed off to Canadian Forces basic training.
I enjoy training at K2 during my off-seasons. Kyle's knowledge for training has helped me see major improvements in strength and speed and he helps me prepare for the demands of a busy hockey schedule.
